IT Support Training Course​

Students in the IT Support Specialist program will receive in-depth training in the daily maintenance, support, and performance of computer systems. They will also gain the skills needed for: effective communication; record-keeping of help desk ticketing; training techniques in the proper use of hardware and software as well as the installation and performing minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment. IT Support Specialists tend to be realistic, investigative, conventional, and social. Typical occupations frequently involve work activities that include practical, hands-on problems and solutions. Students receive an introduction to the daily maintenance, support, and performance of computer systems; effective communication skills with vendors, technicians, and customers; recordkeeping of help desk ticketing tasks; the development of training materials, procedures, and training techniques in the proper use of hardware or software; as well as the installation and performing minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment. A Certificate of Completion in IT Support prepares you for a career as a Computer Support Specialist. Other common job titles include: Computer Specialist, Computer Technician, Desktop Support Technician. Help Desk Analyst, Help Desk Technician, IT Specialist, and Network Technician. This course prepares the student to take the CompTIA A+ Part I & Part II exams.
