Certified Nursing Assistant

The Certified Nursing Assistant program is a five-module program designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in various clinical settings as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The curriculum is designed to meet the Federal and State guidelines in order to meet the needs of residents in a long-term care facility, skilled nursing facility, hospice, or hospital program. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will have the ability to perform basic nursing skills proficiency, think critically, and communicate effectively within the Certified Nursing Assistant scope of practice.

Patient Care Technician

The Patient Care Technician program is a 5-module program designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in various settings as a Patient Care Technician (PCT). The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the health care community. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will have the ability to perform basic nursing skills proficiency, think critically, and communicate effectively. Students will also be able to perform an electrocardiogram (EKG) and phlebotomy procedures. Students must have at least a high school diploma or a GED, and must be able to pass a background check.

Pharmacy Technician Basics

Graduates of this program work in pharmacy environments such as an HMO pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, and retail pharmacies like those found in drug stores and supermarkets. This program provides students with the theory and hands-on experience needed to obtain employment as a pharmacy technician. Students will accurately process the information on a new prescription and learn how to request any missing information, list brand and generic drug names, dosage forms, the route of administration for at least the top 100 drugs, and how to process a medication order for multiple hospitals.
