Nationally Recognized FORD Automotive Career Exploration (ACE) Program Now Available to Arizona Automotive Institute Students

The Addition of ACE to AAI’s Diesel Heavy Truck or Automotive Service Technician Programs Gives Students a Competitive Advantage When Seeking Employment

(GLENDALE, AZ) July 27, 2022Arizona Automotive Institute (AAI) recently announced that the FORD Automotive Career Exploration (ACE) Program is a complimentary program now offered to students enrolled in the school’s Diesel Heavy Truck or Automotive Service Technician programs. ACE is a nationally recognized program between Ford Motor Company, Ford and Lincoln dealerships and secondary and post-secondary educational institutions like AAI. The online training program raises awareness and increases interest in career opportunities within the automotive industry.

“AAI students who complete the program will have inside knowledge of specific Ford automotive training,” said AAI Executive Director Lauren Marocco. “The additional training enhances our current curriculum and provides our program graduates a competitive edge when seeking employment.”

Students attending a Ford ACE partnership school like AAI obtain valuable knowledge of Ford/Lincoln vehicle systems by completing web-based training via a learning management system. The courses are a subset of those taken by current Ford dealership technicians. By completing the training, students are one step closer to a career in the automotive industry, beginning as an entry level automotive service technician at a Ford/Lincoln dealership. There are more than 3,200 Ford dealerships in the U.S., resulting in many opportunities for employment across the country.

Course topics include the Ford Motor Company, Dealership Operations, New Model Training, Electrical Systems and Steering and Suspension.

The AAI Automotive Service Technician Program offers a Diploma. Students learn how to diagnose, service, test, and repair complex, computer-controlled automotive electrical systems. Graduates of the program acquire essential entry-level skills to take national ASE Certification Tests.

There are 180 different online offerings available through the ACE online program, and students can take as many training sessions as they like and will have access to the online system after graduating from AAI’s Automotive Service Technician Program. “Ford training is second to none and their electrical training is seen by every manufacturer out there. It is a great opportunity for students to learn current systems plus understand new systems that are coming to market in the future,” said John Sewell of AAI.
